PRSSA

Embodying both the letter and spirit of its charter, NCPRSA actively supports Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapters at four colleges in its footprint: Campbell University, East Carolina University, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Together, those premier academic institutions introduce hundreds of new practitioners into the profession each year. To enhance that transition for both those former students and their future employers, NCPRSA in 2003-2004 is developing and executing a comprehensive plan designed to strengthen relationships among the Chapter and local PRSSA chapters. In addition to supporting internships, mentoring programs, fundraising efforts and other school-specific initiatives, NCPRSA is also seeking to create a forum for the exchange of best practices among the faculty advisors and student officers of PRSSA chapters. And we’re echoing the initiative demonstrated by our national parent organization by reaching out to colleges and universities without PRSSA chapters whose students would clearly benefit from closer ties to our organization.

To learn more about our Chapter’s revitalized PRSSA program or to volunteer your time, talent and energy to this important effort, please contact Steffi Kinton.
